The beginning of Sturdy Storage
We had an old cattle barn and decided to convert part of it into secure storage space which was dry, clean and well ventilated. Furthermore, it had vehicle access right up to the door with the flexibility to come and go when needed.
When we completed our new house, we moved back in with just the furniture and contents we wanted and left many items in the storage including baby kit and toys, family memorabilia, excess furniture handed down and general contents surplus to requirements.
Over the years we have sorted through and sold, given or thrown away quite a lot of stuff, but having the storage bought us time to deal with the surplus in a planned manner rather than all in a rush.
We had other redundant space on the farm and we discovered other people were happy to use these areas for temporary storage. This has led to a considerable expansion of our service and the launch of Sturdy Storage Ltd.
We currently have two further self-storage sites at Sheephouse Farm, near East Knoyle and Elston Stud, near Shrewton. Both have easy access to the A303 and offer purpose-built steel storage containers and barn units in varying sizes at competitive prices.
As a small family concern, we promise you a warm welcome and we would be delighted to show you round. We can help you decide how much storage you need now or indeed for the future! Call us now to book an appointment.
